NEBOSH IGC1 & 2
NEBOSH IGC1 and IGC2 were two key units of the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, a globally recognized qualification for individuals working in or aspiring to work in health and safety roles.
- IGC1 – Management of Health and Safety:
This unit focuses on the foundations of health and safety, including safety management systems, legal frameworks, risk assessment, and incident investigation. It helps learners understand how to effectively manage health and safety in any organization. - IGC2 – Controlling Workplace Hazards:
This unit covers a range of common workplace hazards such as fire, electrical, chemical, physical, and biological hazards, as well as how to control and prevent them. It emphasizes practical safety measures in various working environments.
Note: NEBOSH has updated its course structure. IGC1 and IGC2 have been replaced by IG1 (Management of Health and Safety) and IG2 (Risk Assessment Practical Application), but many professionals still refer to the older names if they were certified under the previous syllabus.
